Pickerel Frog
Rana (Lithobates) palustris

Size:  1.5 - 2.3 inches
Distribution is limited to portions in the eastern 1/4 of the state. This small frog is easily confused with the leopard frogs, but can be easily distinguished by thicker, more well-developed dorso-lateral folds, two rows of large rectangular spots between the dorso-lateral folds, and typically with yellow coloring inside the thighs.
